Abermill Care Home Residents engage with local Church

Abermill Care Home residents recently took part in the Senior Citizens afternoon at the Beulah Baptist Church Café as part of a thanksgiving service. The Reverend Sue then visited Abermill Care Home to carry out a service for those residents who were unable to attend the church.

The Bullah Baptist Church group attended the home to receive food collected by residents and their families to donate to a Charity in Cardiff which supports homeless people; teaching basic life skills to people who live on the streets as well as providing food where ever possible. The Church group were invited to stay and enjoy some homemade lamb stew. Later their choir sang songs relating to thanksgiving; everyone enjoyed taking part.

John Roberts, the HC-One Abermill Care Home Manager commented “the residents are very community spirited as many of them are local people, so we really appreciate the Beulah Baptist Church group supporting us to engage with our local community. And we were very proud of our contribution of food items to the charity that supports homeless people”.
