TRAFALGAR PARK CARE HOME CELEBRATES CARE HOME OPEN DAY WITH RIGHT ROYAL BLOOMING GREAT TEA PARTY
Residents and relatives at Trafalgar Park Care Home in Nelson were joined by Councillor Dianne Price – Mayor of Caerphilly along with guests and members of the local community to celebrate the fourth annual Care Home Open Day.
Residents, relatives and their guests enjoyed a range of activities taking place at Trafalgar Park Care Home, in line with these year’s theme of ’Right Royal Blooming Great Tea Party’, including Punch and Judy, magician, old fair stalls, hook the duck, coconut shy, visit from local schools Starite crèche and Llancaeach Junior School.
It was a day filled with fun and excitement, and a great opportunity for Residents, their loved ones, and members of the local community to get together and get creative, whilst recognising the important work that care teams do, day in day out, to care for vulnerable members of our society. As part of the celebrations HC-One homes across the country were also raising money for HC-One’s charity partner Marie Curie. Trafalgar Park raised £55.50p for the charity. HC-One Trafalgar Park Care Home Manager, Sadie Hunt, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day. It was lovely to see the young and the elder members of the community reminiscing and having fun together. I am grateful to the Mayor who took time out of her busy schedule to join us and take the opportunity to chat with some of the residents.”
