Priorities and “Business” Plan

The Forum has agreed the initial priorities for 2017-18 should be:

Recruitment of new members including strengthening of the Steering Group and increasing the current 350 strong membership

Maximising the role of the new Older People’s Champion – working closely with Cllr Barbara Jones

Isolation and Loneliness -. This will in the first instance be taken forward through:

Carers – partnership working with the Carers Strategy Co-ordinator and Carers Group

Loneliness – partnership working with the Local Heath Board co-ordinator for the Ffrind i mi/Friend of mine initiative

Isolation – examining how the Forum could develop a volunteer Gardening Support scheme

The writing and issue of the Forum Newsletters and revamp of the Forum Website will also be progressed as priorities.
